As an MIT grad who never aspired to being an engineer I took a detour to law school before heading out into the working world. After consulting for a few years I started a company in NYC which was doing pretty well (file systems for video) till our money went down with our investment bank because of a 9/11 related short trading collapse (http://www.thestreet.com/markets/matthewgoldstein/10113049.html). Just one more way 9/11 was an excruciating week. That said, watching the towers collapse in front of you puts everything in clear perspective. NYC is my first love as a city, but I've given it up for rural PA where I can play more golf and provide a less stressful enviornment for my wife and child.
After working outside Philly for a Video-On-Demand vendor - splitting my time between legal and engineering work - the commute started me thinking about mobile media and BroadClip was the result.
